What we look for
This is a super important role in the business as you’ll be one of the key touchpoints for our clients & users. Working with an experienced Payroll Manager you'll be helping manage the weekly payroll of thousands of contractors. The Square's systems are almost entirely automated but we want an Administrator with Umbrella Payroll experience to help oversea the process and ensure we're delivering best in class service for our clients and users.
This is a pretty awesome opportunity for the right person. You’ll have the autonomy to manage the payroll function and put your own ‘smart’ processes in place leveraging The Square’s tech experience.
Processing payroll for Umbrella PAYE, CIS, Limited Company & Self Employed Contractors on a weekly basis
Ensuring 100% compliance from an ID, Right To Work and HR perspective.
Ensure all candidate information is correct, verified (through our automated systems) and up to date.
Be responsive and helpful with both our clients and users over the phone and email.
Keep up to date on the latest legislation to ensure both The Square and our clients are working as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Make sure all pensions, deductions and employment responsibilities are kept fully up to date and accurate. Maternity and paternity leave, absences, holiday
Be a champion of The Square. Know it inside out.
Share any learnings or feedback with internal teams and help them develop processes to make better customer and operational experiences
Support internal audits, external audits, Pension audits and government audits.
Communicate effectively and report clearly, succinctly & regularly to the team
Help contribute and nurture an awesome culture making the business one of the most aspirational businesses to work for - in terms of both culture and performance.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR...
3+ years payroll and Umbrella experience.
Great communication skills.
Great attention to detail.
Energy, commitment and can do attitude.

The entire team is currently working remotely in various countries however we have an office in Shoreditch, London for those that like to get out and work in a fun, creative and productive environment.
